The new Mercedes-Benz SL 400, will replace the SL 350 as the entry level model. It starts at £72, 500.
The new six cylinder engine will produce 333 hp and 354 lbs ft with the aid of two turbo chargers, increasing power by 27 hp and 81 lbs ft over the outgoing engine. This means the 0-62 mph sprint is dropped from 5.9 to 5.2 seconds.
The SL 400 Sport will have; 19″ AMG five-spoke alloy wheels, AMG front and rear aprons, as well as side skirts and sports suspension.
Inside, the instrument cluster will feature a chequered flag design. It gets a flat-bottomed steering wheel with silver gear shift paddles. The trim is light brushed aluminium and will get AMG floor mats.
Just in time for summer. A more powerful, performance orientated car for the entry level of the SL range. The SL 63 AMG also gets a power hike of 48 hp, a total of 585 hp.
